In today's complex digital landscape, businesses are inundated with data. Yet harnessing this data to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional experiences remains a significant challenge.
This spring, Quantum Metric is introducing powerful new innovations that help simplify this complexity. This release brings transformative capabilities, including advancements in generative AI and core platform enhancements—all aimed at deepening customer understanding, increasing adoption and empowerment across teams, and optimizing digital experiences more effectively and efficiently.
Felix AI: Accelerate your understanding.
Understanding a customer’s journey, especially across multiple sessions and devices, can be time-consuming. Support agents need instant context to resolve issues quickly, while product managers need to grasp the 'why' behind user behavior without watching hours of session replays. Traditional methods often involve guesswork and piecing together fragmented information, leading to inefficiency and missed opportunities.
Powered by Google’s Gemini Pro, Felix AI addresses this head-on, using generative AI to synthesize complex user behavior into actionable insights — and it’s getting even better.
Key new features include:
- User Summaries: Get comprehensive customer journey insights by synthesizing multi-session, cross-device data into short, readable summaries in seconds.
- Role-Based Prompts: Access user-level insights tailored to specific team needs (like support or product) for more relevant and actionable information.
- Ask Clarifying Questions: Go deeper by asking Felix specific questions about a user's experience to uncover insights relevant to unique use cases.

Segment Builder: Precision and speed in analysis.
Targeted analysis is crucial for identifying friction points, understanding which paths drive results, and optimizing specific experiences. However, creating granular segments, especially based on calculated metrics or insights discovered in dashboards, can be cumbersome, requiring users to pivot between features. This friction slows down analysis and increases the possibility of mistakes.
Our enhancements to Segment Builder streamline this process, making it easier than ever to create highly targeted segments and transition seamlessly from observation to deep analysis.
Key new features include:
- One-Click Segmentation from dashboards: Create segments directly from dashboard visualizations with a single click, bringing relevant context and filters into the Segment Builder instantly. For dashboard cards with segmentation already applied, One-Click Segmentation will automatically carry over card configurations alongside the desired filter.
- Segment on metric values: Filter and analyze users or sessions based on the values of any available metric, unlocking deeper insights into what drives performance and enabling segmentation on calculated KPIs.

Data Streaming: Your data, where you need it.
Quantum Metric captures invaluable first-party behavioral data. With Data Streaming, you can continuously and automatically send that data to over 20 destinations, including popular data warehouses like Snowflake, Azure, and Databricks, enabling more sophisticated analysis and action. Now, marketing teams can fuel personalization engines, data science teams can train predictive models with rich behavioral data, and analytics teams can build comprehensive customer profiles by joining digital interaction data with historical records.
Server-Side Data Capture: Achieve end-to-end visibility.
While client-side data capture is powerful, factors like ad blockers, browser issues, or network problems can sometimes lead to incomplete data or missing details within a session replay. For critical events like transactions or sign-ups, teams need absolute confidence in their data accuracy and completeness.
Server-Side Data Capture addresses this by allowing you to send critical business events directly from your servers to Quantum Metric, supplementing client-side data and filling potential gaps. You can append server-recorded events, like a successful order confirmation, to the corresponding live session replay in real-time, ensuring a more complete and trustworthy record of the user's interaction. This capability is crucial for engineering and analytics teams focused on data integrity and provides a more robust dataset for understanding mission-critical flows. In scenarios where client-side tracking isn't feasible, it even allows for creating sessions based purely on backend events.
Dashboards: Transform data into decisions, faster.
Building informative, visually appealing dashboards and efficiently filtering data across multiple visualizations can sometimes be challenging or time-consuming due to manual effort. Our latest dashboard enhancements focus on usability, flexibility, and speed, empowering users of all skill levels to create impactful dashboards and explore data more efficiently.
Key new features include:
- Redesigned dashboard building: Enjoy a more intuitive and flexible experience for creating dynamic, information-rich dashboards with greater control over layout and visual emphasis.
- Dashboard-level filtering: Apply a single filter across all cards on a dashboard simultaneously, instantly segmenting data without needing to reconfigure each visualization individually.
- Dimensional dashboards: Apply any dimension, like browser type or loyalty status, across an entire dashboard instantly, eliminating the need to manually adjust each card for comparative analysis.

Funnels: Deeper insights into user progression.
Understanding how users progress through critical flows is fundamental to optimizing journeys, from onboarding to checkout. Our latest release introduces new ways to analyze and understand user behavior within funnels.
Key new features include:
- Build funnel from a session replay: Initiate funnel analysis directly from a session replay to quickly and easily understand and quantify common paths and deviations.
- Continuation rates over time: Track how the rate at which users proceed from one funnel step to the next changes over time to measure the impact of optimizations or identify emerging issues.
- Time between funnel steps quantification: Analyze the time users take between specific funnel steps to identify bottlenecks or areas where users hesitate.

Interactions and Visible: Granular engagement analysis.
Understanding how users interact with specific page elements—not just if they convert—is key to identifying micro-successes and subtle friction points. Standard analytics might miss engagement with dynamic elements like hover menus or lack the flexibility to define success metrics beyond simple clicks or conversions. This granular insight is vital for UX designers and product teams fine-tuning page layouts and interactive components. Our updates to Interactions and Visible provide deeper, more flexible ways to analyze element-level engagement.
Key new features include:
- Freeze a page (Visible): Analyze data overlays on dynamic elements by freezing the page state, ensuring all interactive components can be measured.
- Suggested zones (Visible): Automatically identify and create zones around the most interacted-with elements on a page with a single click, so you can spend less time exploring users’ levels of engagement with different elements and more time finding insights.
- Custom metrics for any zone (Interactions): Measure engagement using any custom metric directly within Interactions, allowing you to define and track success relevant to your specific goals, going deeper than standard conversion rates.

Alerts: Proactive monitoring with precision.
Proactive monitoring is essential, but managing alerts across numerous dimensions or dealing with alert fatigue can be challenging. Teams need intelligent alerting that not only flags issues but also provides immediate context into the "why" behind a deviation. We're enhancing Alerts to be more insightful, precise, and integrated with your analysis workflows. Key new features include:
- Custom Metrics for Alerts: Create alerts based on your unique business KPIs by leveraging Custom Metric builder directly within Alerts, ensuring you monitor what truly matters.
- Dimensional Alerts: Automatically identify which specific dimension is driving an alert trigger, providing instant context and reducing investigation time.
- Dashboard-Alert Integration: Seamlessly create alerts directly from your dashboard visualizations, increasing efficiency and making alert creation more accessible.
